Brief History:

This congregation was established in the early 1990s after Catholic sisters conducted missionary work in the region. Locals previously travelled to Vellikodu for worship services. The church was officially consecrated on October 20, 1991, beginning with twelve families. In 1991, Fr. Francis D. Sales provided significant assistance to construct the initial structure. The community expanded considerably, receiving electricity in 2002 and achieving branch parish status, now serving 68 families.
