Brief History:

Holy Carmel Mother Church, Nullivilai, is one of the oldest sacred sites in the Kanyakumari area, serving as a place of Christian worship since the 15th century. The church was originally a branch of Karankadu St. Aloysius Church before becoming an independent parish in 2012. The current building was expanded and dedicated in 2000. The parish serves approximately 250 families with 10 religious sisters, and the feast of Our Lady of Carmel is celebrated over ten days around July 16.
