Brief History:

Holy Child Teresa Church, Setticharvilai, was established by the Carmelite Congregation in 1961 when community members, led by Mr. Mariya Meyyil, sought a dedicated worship space during a period of social difficulty. Construction was completed by 1964. Due to space constraints resulting from many miracles attributed to the saint’s intercession, a new church building was acquired and consecrated in 1999. The parish now serves approximately 700 families and maintains a branch church, Holy Mother of Mount Carmel Church at Verkklimbi.
