Brief History:
Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Kanjiracode, originated as a branch church of Mullanginawilai approximately 140 years ago. The current chapel was constructed in 1915 by Fr. Peter Thomas OCD and dedicated in 1956 by Bishop T. R. Angiasamy. The parish was elevated to independent status in 1974 and entrusted to the Indian Missionary Society. It now serves approximately 350 families, with the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary celebrated over ten days around October 7.
