Brief History:
St. George’s Church, Pallavilai, originated from a small shrine established by stonemason Kallukkutti Aasan on his own land in Kothiyavattai, housing an image of St. George known for miraculous occurrences. Following financial growth and community support, a new church was constructed with foreign aid; Bishop Arokia Swamy laid the foundation stone and the structure was consecrated on February 26, 1974. Confraternities were initiated in 1998 and the church has earned recognition for interfaith collaboration. Today it serves approximately 145 families as a branch parish.
