Brief History:

St. Susaiappar Church, Manjadi, began with catechism classes held in a private residence in the community. In 1956 under Fr. Vincent Pereira’s leadership, 8 cents of land was purchased and a thatched chapel was constructed with community support. A small shrine was built by Fr. George N.J. and dedicated on December 20, 1960. The current church building was consecrated on June 16, 2000 by Bishop Leon A. Dharmaraj and the church was officially recognised as an independent parish on May 24, 2017. Today it serves approximately 156 families.
