Brief History:

The parish originated around 1890 when it separated from Silukkuvarpatty parish. Worship activities occurred in a small cottage (formerly Alphonse School building) during early decades. Due to population growth and building deterioration, the foundation stone for a new church was laid in 1991 by Rev. Fr. V.M. Charley. Construction was completed in 1996 under Rev. Fr. Y. Arokiam’s tenure. The parish was elevated to independent status on June 5, 2016. It serves 227 families and oversees seven branch locations including Infant Jesus Church (Lower Camp), Saint Susaiappar Church (Koodalore), Mount Carmel Church (Angoorpalaiyam), and others. The feast is celebrated on September 7-8. The parish encompasses approximately 7 villages along the Theni-Kamam-KK Patty road corridor.
