Brief History:

The church was constructed in 1978-79 and consecrated with Rev. Fr. Francis Britto as the first parish priest. It was elevated to shared parish status on May 11, 1985. The 25th anniversary in 2005 marked renovation of the altar and interior flooring, plus installation of a Saint Anthony shrine and Lourdes chapel. The church serves 520 families with 18 religious sisters and maintains four branch churches serving communities in Puthupalaiyam, Malaiyapuram, Jamine Nattampatti, and Milkirishnnapuram. RC Primary Schools operate in Puthupalaiyam and Jamine Nattampatti. The feast is celebrated on the last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of May.
