Brief History:
The Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in T. Sinthalaicceri was established as an independent parish in 1924 under Bishop Beysaundius SJ, evolving from earlier mission work. The church has a rich legacy of producing numerous ordained clergy and religious sisters from the community. The parish serves approximately 1,800 families (2,100 including 7 branch churches). The feast is celebrated on June 24, with a three-day town festival on January 3. Located on the Madurai-Theni-Chinnamanur road, 8 km from Chinnamanur.
