Brief History:

Saint Rayappan Chinnappan Church in Pattanam was established between 1883 and 1884 and dedicated to Saints Rayappan and Chinnappan. The church, which had fallen into neglect for many years, was revived through renovation efforts led by Rev. Fr. Selvam during his tenure as parish priest at Holy Carmel Mother Church, Kakkaveri. The restored church was rededicated on October 20, 2013, by Salem Bishop Dr. C. Singarayan. Today the church serves 15 families as a branch of Holy Carmel Mother Church, Kakkaveri, and celebrates its feast on June 29 each year. Located approximately 3 km from Kakkaveri.
