Brief History:

Saint Sebastian Church in Andipatti was originally established in 1995 by Rev. Fr. A. Sebastian on land acquired by Archbishop Amalraj. The community previously walked approximately 5 kilometers to Sooramanglam parish for worship. A new church building was constructed and blessed in 2013 and later became an independent parish in 2015. The church underwent interior renovations including altar backdrop repainting and exterior stone work. A notable feature is its 33-foot flagpole with cross, representing Christ’s 33-year earthly life and 3-year ministry. The parish serves 50 families with 4 religious sisters from the Franciscan Sisters of Aloysius Gonzaga, plus a branch chapel – St. Rosary Mother Church, Ilamppillai (10 families). The feast is celebrated on January 20 with a 7-day novena in honour of Saint Sebastian. The parish belongs to the Salem Diocese. Read more about Saint Sebastian Church, Andipatti.
