Brief History:

The congregation of Yampalli initially traveled to Tiruchchengode for worship services. Recognizing the distance, residents approached then-parish priest A.X. Irudhayam (1996-2000) for their own facility. Through community effort, a church was constructed and consecrated on December 23, 1999, by Salem Diocese Bishop Victor Sundararaj. The structure underwent renovation in 2006 with German donors’ assistance and was blessed by former Bishop C. Singarayan on May 2, 2006. When St. Mary Magdalene Church, Pattloor became an independent parish in 2015, Yampalli became its branch parish. A tabernacle was installed February 16, 2020, resuming sacraments for children. The Mercy of Mother Society continues managing this growing community. The church serves 20 families as a branch of St. Mary Magdalene Church, Pattloor, and celebrates its feast on January 1 in honour of the Child Jesus.
