Brief History:

Our Lady of Presentation Church, Valispet, traces its origins to a chapel established in the late 19th century for community worship. The current cross-shaped church structure was constructed in 1985 and the parish was elevated to independent status on June 1, 1986, under Archbishop Arokiasamy Sundaram. The parish serves approximately 302 families, with an extended community of 498 including three affiliated branch churches. A new church building was consecrated on November 20, 2021. The feast of Our Lady of Presentation is celebrated on November 21.
