Brief History:
This shrine honours St. Alphonsa, a canonised saint of India. The church building was constructed on September 10, 1989, and was officially declared a shrine on November 8, 2008, following her canonisation by Pope Benedict XVI. The facility houses an educational institution with approximately 2,500 students and operates an entrance examination training centre. The parish serves approximately 75 families and offers Sunday Masses at 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with a daily Mass at 6:00 AM.
