Brief History:

The community accepted Christianity in 1917. A small thatched chapel was constructed in 1918 under the guidance of Father Kuthooriar. The church was destroyed by arson in 1930, though a wooden cross miraculously remained undamaged. A new church was built in 1933. The church was updated with a concrete roof and formally consecrated in 2011. In 2018, marking the church’s centennial, a Mother Teresa center and kitchen were constructed and blessed. The church serves 20 families and the feast is celebrated May 9-18. The community reports numerous blessings attributed to Saint Anna, including healing from illnesses, educational success, and employment opportunities for devotees of all faiths.
