Brief History:

Holy Cross Mother Church at Tirumalai Rayapuram was established as an independent parish in 1998, having previously operated as a chapel under Nanjur parish. The church serves approximately 270 families and 9 mission stations in the Kiranoor Deanery of the Trichy Diocese. According to local accounts, a childless couple from Trichy encountered a divine apparition of the Mother at a tamarind tree location. The woman sensed a divine presence and refused to continue traveling. They eventually adopted Christianity and established a small shrine, which later developed into this parish church. The feast is celebrated during the first week of August over three days (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). Branch villages include Vazhamagalam, Susayappa Pattnam, T. Melappatti, and T. Kizhappatti.
