Brief History:

Catholic Christians settled in Pachaiperumalpuram around 1800. Initially, they attended St. Francis Xavier Church in Kottar for worship. Later, they traveled to Komapadi Church, but due to the considerable distance, locals requested a local place of worship. The church was constructed with community cooperation during Fr. Francis’s tenure as parish priest and was consecrated on May 23, 2004, by Bishop Oswald, the principal bishop of Tuticorin Diocese. The church is located 4 kilometers east of the Puliampatti-Komapdi road and currently serves 12 families as a branch of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Komapdi.
