Brief History:

This faith community originated when Sri Lankan and Burmese refugees established the Panchais Settlement in 1972. Local Catholic residents, assisted by the village leaders and the then-pastor of Kizhamudimon, constructed a modest worship space in 1973. Through successive pastoral leadership and the support of Bishop Ambrose, a permanent church was built and consecrated in 1980. Monthly Saturday novena masses began in 1974, with weekly Sunday services commencing in 1984. The feast of the Holy Mother of Health is celebrated from August 30 to September 8 each year.
