Brief History:
A small thatched church was constructed on December 12, 1941, on land donated by Mr. Vellaiah Nadar at the request of his son-in-law Mr. Kurusu Michael Nadar. Initially serving as a chapel under Panagudy parish, Sunday masses were held fortnightly. The structure received a tile roof in 1961, and the present building’s foundation stone was laid in 1992 by Bishop Amalnadhar, with the consecration completed in 1995. The parish now serves 35 families and maintains 3 chapels in the area.
