Our Lady of Fatima
Brief History:
This shrine was established to spread Catholic faith in South India. The foundation stone was laid on May 13, 1966, and the statue of Our Lady of Fatima was installed and the church consecrated on May 5, 1968, following guidance from Bishop Thomas Fernando. The statue was installed based on descriptions from Sister Lucia who witnessed the Fatima apparitions. The shrine now serves 525 families and holds two major feast celebrations annually in May and October, each with chariot and Eucharistic processions on the ninth and tenth days respectively.
