Brief History:

During the 1950s, palm industry workers from southern Tamil Nadu villages were settled in Chinnakannupuram by employers who provided them with worship space and burial grounds. A church dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua was constructed in 1984 to serve the growing Catholic community. When St. Michael Church, Annai Nagar became a parish in 1992, this church became one of its mission stations. Following diocesan administrative changes in 2018, it came under Holy Ruth Parish. Today, the church serves 51 Catholic families across three worship centers.
