Brief History:

The church was constructed in 1930 with assistance from American philanthropist Kevin Griffin during Rev. Fr. Adalkalmanatha’s tenure. Keezhmudinan became an independent parish in 1936 with Rev. Fr. Lourdu Nather as its first parish priest. The church underwent renovation in 2011 with a celebration of its pearl jubilee. Located approximately 30 km from both Tuticorin and Kovilpatti, the parish now serves 190 families and has been served by thirty-five parish priests since its establishment. The annual feast begins with flag hoisting on May 12 and is celebrated on May 21.
