Brief History:

Established with funds from a Sri Lankan theatrical production and community support, this church initially functioned as a branch of the Old Kayalpattinam parish. It was elevated to an autonomous parish on July 10, 1977. Located 5 km from Athoor via Thiruthenthur, the parish now serves 110 families across five subsidiary churches. The church celebrates two major feasts: St. Sebastian in January and St. Joseph in May, each with ten-day celebrations beginning on the first Saturday and Sunday of the respective months.
