Brief History:
The parish was established in 1883 with a palm leaf structure, taking Saint Michael the Archangel as its protector. Initially functioning as a branch of Miracle Sand Mother Shrine, Sokkankudiyiruppu, it became a subsidiary of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Kadakulam parish in 1993. The current church building was completed and consecrated in 1994 during the tenure of Fr. Susai Raja, representing a flourishing period for the congregation. The parish serves around 120 Catholic families and celebrates its annual 10-day feast from September 20 to 29, followed by a community meal on September 30.
