Brief History:
St. Rayappan Church was established by Mr. Rayappan Nadar, a devout settler from Malabar who arrived around 1880. He constructed a leaf chapel in 1890 dedicated to St. Rayappan. His son later upgraded it to a mud structure, which was eventually replaced with a stone building in 1982. The current structure was consecrated on February 2, 2009, following reconstruction efforts supported by community labour and donations. The parish serves 100 families and operates St. Rayappan School established in 1948.
