Brief History:
Kadakulam village, it is considered, came into being about 300 years ago. A small church built about 150 years in honor of of Our Lady of Rajakanni was renewed and consecrated by Bishop Roche on the 23 rd of September 1928 . Having been a substation of nearby parishes such as sokkankudiyiruppu, Kooduthalai, Kootappanai, and Thisayanvilai, Kadakulam was elevated as an independent parish on the 13 th of June 1984 by Bishop Amalnather. Fr. Barnabas as the first parish priest did abundant service to this parish. Due to some sorrowful incidents some 30 families became members of the C.S.I. church.
