Brief History:

Immaculate Mother of Sorrows Church, Vilavoor, was originally established in 1963 as a prayer centre with palm construction. Following increased engagement by the Catholic Charitable Society and spiritual awakening initiatives by Fr. Lawrence of Mulakunnathu around 1991, the parish acquired land and was officially recognised as a branch of Mulakunnathu parish in October 1992. The church underwent significant expansion and renovation after acquiring additional property in November 2000. The parish serves approximately 40 families.
