Uvari, Tuticorin Diocese, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu.
Parish Priest – Fr. Dominic Arul Valan.
Church Established – 1980.

Brief History:

A small chapel was established in 1980 on the western boundary of Uvari to provide health blessings to residents, and was completed in 1981 with daily prayer services. Over approximately eleven years, increasing devotion led to construction of a meditation hall. The original structure deteriorated, prompting reconstruction. Fr. Irudaya Raj laid the foundation for a new building on June 20, 1999, which was consecrated on May 11, 2000 by Bishop Peter Fernando. An entrance pavilion was later blessed on August 30, 2007. The church is dedicated to Our Lady of Velankanni, one of the most revered Marian devotions in India.
