Brief History:
According to local tradition, St. Francis Xavier visited this village while conducting missionary work and requested water at a home. The villagers later learned through his travel records that their visitor was the saint and constructed a chapel in his honour. A new tile-roofed church was built and consecrated in 1945, and the structure was subsequently upgraded with concrete construction and a tower, receiving rededication on November 23, 2005. The church serves as a branch parish under Holy Rosary Mother Church, Mannarapuram, and currently ministers to 2 families in the area.
