Brief History:

This congregation was established in 1970 through the efforts of Rev. Fr. Maria Rodesini. The bishop of Salem at that time, Most Rev. Selvanather, consecrated the church on February 8, 1970. Initially operating as a chapel under Vaalipadi Parish, it became a branch chapel of Thirumanur Parish when Thirumanur was elevated to independent parish status in 2010. The year 2020 marked its golden jubilee celebration. Mangalapuram is situated 8 kilometers from Thirumanur via Rasipuram and the feast is celebrated over three days on May 24, 25, and 26.
