Brief History:
The parish developed from a small chapel serving Catholic teachers and families who settled after schools were established in 1948. Initial masses began in 1964. As the Catholic population grew, the area became an independent parish on July 31, 1991, under Bishop S. Lawrence Gabriel. The original chapel was replaced; the new church’s foundation stone was laid in 1993 and consecrated on November 27, 1994. A church bell was installed and blessed in 2021. The church serves 240 families. Known for reported miraculous healings attributed to Our Lady of Vailankanni, attracting devotees from various faith backgrounds. The feast is celebrated on September 8-9.
