Brief History:

The church emerged approximately 150 years ago when a Christian woman named Anna guided locals toward Christianity, establishing worship in a palm-leaf shelter with a St. Joseph statue. The community later relocated and built a tiled structure around 1925. The current brick church was consecrated in 1991 by Bishop Iruthayaraj after relocation in 1996 under the Alangulam parish administration. The church is a branch of Saviour of the World Church, Alangulam, serving 80 families. The feast is a ten-day celebration concluding on the final Saturday-Sunday in January.
