Brief History:

St. Joseph Church at Kumarnagar, Tiruppur was developed from a need to serve the growing Catholic population in Kumarnagar. The foundation stone was laid on May 1, 1978, and construction began in 1980. The church was completed in 1982 and formally dedicated on November 25, 1982, by former bishops Dr. Arokiasamy and Dr. M. Ambrose. The parish serves approximately 1,000 families with 17 active societies. The church is located on the Coimbatore-Avinasi road near the RTO office bus stop in Tiruppur. The feast of St. Joseph is celebrated on May 1st.
