History
The Roman Catholic Church at Tisri was originally part of the Tilkimaran parish. However, it became an independent parish in 1988. Rev. Fr. Mathew Kuttickatt served as the first resident parish priest. He also led the construction of the church, which was blessed on 24 March 1990.
In addition to its pastoral ministry, the parish supports education through a high school in Tisri. The church has served the local community for many years by promoting faith, education, and social development. Today, the parish continues to celebrate Holy Mass, administer the sacraments, and organize various spiritual and community programs.
The parish serves around 700 Catholics from nearly 150 families across 20 villages. Therefore, it plays an important role in strengthening the Catholic faith in the region.
