Brief History:

The adjacent Holy Carmel Mother Church was established in 1930. The shrine itself was built in 1958 on the south side of Srivarayana Hill and celebrated its golden jubilee in 2008. The shrine features a Calvary Mount with 14 Stations of the Cross and 53 steps representing rosary beads leading to the shrine. A monthly procession is held on the 23rd, commemorating a June 23, 2014 apparition. A sound and light presentation lasting seven hours is featured during the feast. The feast is celebrated on the Friday of the 9th week of Lent over three days.
