Brief History:
The Kambilar Catholic community originated when local residents requested their own worship space instead of travelling to neighbouring churches. Fr. Matthias of Pudukottai advocated for their independence, leading to the establishment of the community in 1946. The parish was elevated to independent status in 2008, expanding from a modest chapel into a substantial parish serving approximately 180 families with 7 religious sisters.
