Brief History:
This basilica was established by Fr. Victor from Belgium, who purchased 40 acres and developed the area into a thriving Christian community. The current structure, built between 1910-1912, features Romanesque architecture. The church was elevated to Minor Basilica status in June 2020, making it Tamil Nadu seventh basilica. The basilica has been a centre of faith and spiritual healing, with documented miracles attributed to intercession through Mary. Located on the Nagercoil-Thiruvananthapuram National Highway, it serves 1,700 families and hosts monthly full-moon devotional services featuring healing prayers and Eucharistic celebrations.
