Brief History:

Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Konnakuzhuvilai, traces its origins to around 1920 when approximately 50 Christian families worshipped at a small wooden cross shrine. A stone cross was constructed in 1964 with donations from field labourers, and the community built their first tiled chapel in 1942, gradually expanding the church complex over several decades. The parish finally achieved independent status on April 11, 2009. Today it serves approximately 345 families across 13 associations and maintains a branch church, St. Nicholas Church, at Aloor.
