Brief History:

St. Michael the Archangel Church, Kozhipporvizhaye, originated around 1960 when local Christian families travelled to nearby Mulakmood to worship. Through the ministry of Fr. Varghese and Sr. Joseph, faith grew in the area. A generous benefactor named Ambrose donated land in 1965 beneath a large mango tree where believers gathered for prayer and catechism. The congregation was formally consecrated as a branch parish and elevated to full parish status on May 31, 1997. The parish serves approximately 270 families across 7 religious associations with two subsidiaries: Christ the King Church at Mukhmatoor and St. Xavier Church at Mallanvilay.
