Brief History:

Established in 1972 on former government land, this community church was formally recognized after legal proceedings secured it as a Christian worship site. Renovations occurred in 1980 and again in 2017, when the Archbishop consecrated it on August 15, 2017. The church serves 45 families as a branch of Our Lady of Sorrows Cathedral, Madurai, and celebrates its feast on August 15.
