Brief History:

The shrine commemorates miraculous healings attributed to the Infant Jesus. The foundation stone was laid in 1979. In 1982, a long-suffering parishioner named Soundararajan received a vision and was healed, leading to the Infant Jesus statue’s installation. The new church was consecrated on October 14, 1984, and was re-consecrated on January 15, 2024, with attendance from multiple diocesan bishops. The parish serves 186 families with 7 religious sisters and maintains a branch chapel – St. Peter’s, Rayapillaipatty. The feast is celebrated from January 15-16 (Epiphany focus) over ten days with a flag-hoisting ceremony.
