Brief History:

According to historical records, British soldiers left St. Ignatius statues in Nenmeni village around 1770. A British soldier seeking the saint’s intercession reportedly received complete healing. In 1889, Jesuit priest Rev. Fr. J.P. Trinkal organized the first procession celebrating the feast. The tiled church was constructed in 1898 and remains among the oldest Catholic churches dedicated to St. Ignatius in the region. The second Sunday of each month features a healing Eucharist with Mass and community meal distribution. The church serves as a branch of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Sathur, and the feast is celebrated on July 30-31 each year with significant attendance from surrounding towns.
