Brief History:

The chapel in Cinnabar Nagar was established in 1998 by Rev. Fr. Maria Susai. During Rev. Fr. Iruthaya Selvam’s tenure (2003-2008), a Holy Forest Saint Cyril cross was erected on a nearby hilltop. The community grew steadily and a new, permanent church was built. On May 2, 2012, the church was consecrated by Bishop C. Singarayyan. The community has produced vocations including Sister Pani Mary (Cluny Congregation) and Sister Roselin Mary (DMI Congregation). The church serves 80 families as a branch of Saint Jeyarakkini Mother Church, Attur, and is located 3 km from the Attur-Baipur route. Learn more about Saint Cyril.
