Brief History:
This parish originated approximately 200 years ago when Christianity took root in the region. The original cross-shaped church became unusable, prompting construction of the current structure in 1977-78 by Fr. Mario Rodesini from France. Bishop Michael Bosco Duraisamy consecrated it on April 2, 1978. The parish functioned as a sub-parish under various administrations before gaining independent status on June 6, 2010, with Fr. Gnanraj as first parish priest. The church serves 52 families and maintains a branch chapel – Saint Mangala Mother Church, Mangalapuram.
