Brief History:
Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Arasudipatti, was originally established as a chapel and subsequently operated under several parish jurisdictions — including Nanjur, Kottagudi, Vengidakulum, and Alankundu — before being elevated to an independent parish in 2006. The new church building, completed in 2017, combines Gothic, modern, and colonial architectural styles with a distinctive dome featuring painted depictions of the seven sorrows of Mary. The parish serves approximately 250 families across three villages, with two branch churches in Thavalappalli and Pathimanagar. The parish feast is celebrated from May 31 through June 9.
