Brief History:

St. Anthony’s Church, Karunganni, is a vibrant parish in the Tanjore Diocese serving approximately 300 Catholic families. The church celebrated its centenary on February 6, 2018, and oversees nine affiliated branch churches, including St. Fatima Mother Church, two St. Anthony’s chapels, St. Xavier Church, St. Sebastian Church, St. Arokia Mother Church, and two Sacred Heart chapels. The three-day parish feast in honour of St. Anthony is celebrated in the first week of June.
