Brief History:

St. Anthony’s Church, Madapuram, is a branch church under St. Lourdes Church, Tirutturaipundi, serving approximately 90 Catholic families. A modest thatched structure was first built in 1982, and the church was rebuilt in 1988. The cornerstone was laid on December 5, 2010, and Bishop M. Devadhas Ambrose sanctified the new building on July 28, 2015. An ornamental tower was blessed on June 27, 2017. The parish feast of St. Anthony is celebrated over 13 days in the last two weeks of June, featuring a decorated chariot procession through the village.
