Brief History:
In 1999, when Fr. James Peter began his tenure as parish priest of Caldwell Colony, he visited Rajapandi Nagar and discovered the Catholic community lacked a dedicated place of worship and struggled to reach the distant Caldwell Colony church. A Pentecostal church building became available for purchase at 110,000 rupees. Fr. Peter acquired the property, renovated it, and initially named it Faith Church before renaming it Holy Mother of Heaven Church under diocesan authority. The feast is celebrated annually on August 15, the Feast of the Assumption of Mary.
