Brief History:

This rural congregation emerged during a period when Christianity was taking root in the region through missionary efforts. Approximately two centuries ago, a modest thatched chapel occupied the present sanctuary site. In 1870, the community constructed a permanent structure using lime, myrobalan, and jaggery mortar, replacing the original humble place of worship. The faithful maintained their devotion despite challenging circumstances in this underdeveloped agricultural area. The parish currently serves over 80 families, and the feast is celebrated on the last Sunday of May each year in honor of St. Michael the Archangel.
