Brief History:

Established in 1962 by Rev. Fr. Thomas Panikar, this parish emerged from missionary efforts in an economically disadvantaged region. Sisters Augustina and Candida visited homes, ministered to the sick, and provided aid to the poor in the early years. The community’s spiritual growth led to construction of a permanent church on land donated by local benefactors, and the parish now serves approximately 210 families across surrounding villages including Parutthivizhai, Pilangkalai, and Nellikkavizhai.
